After giving birth, you forget everything…

After giving birth, you forget everything…

Someone close to you has probably already told you that giving birth is hard.

You’ll forget all about it once you have your little one lying on top of you like a frog—or so they say.

You forget just how hard the pregnancy was.

You forget the pain of giving birth without an epidural.

I, for one, haven’t forgotten.

The truth is, I want to keep every step of this journey etched in my memory.

The moment you meet YOUR little one is also the moment you get to know YOURSELF.

Once you’ve been through childbirth, you know who you really are.

You did it—you came through it with flying colors!

Now you know just how strong you are!

Remember all those times people said you weren’t built to be strong because you catch every little bug that’s floating around?

Now you know that’s not true!

So when people tell you that you’ll forget it all, tell yourself that forgetting that magical moment is the last thing you really want.

In fact, you want to remember every contraction, every push, getting more than 20 stitches for a 5-pound baby (yes, it happens!!)...

Because when you look back on that big day that changed your life, you’ll be proud to have made it through it all, proud to be strong!!
