No, I'm not jealous of your wife anymore

It’s true—as mammals, we sometimes feel certain urges.

Strangely enough, those urges surfaced almost instantly the moment we met. He exudes so much charisma, self-confidence, and masculinity that I sometimes have to remind myself of my wedding vows—including… fidelity.

The way he looks at me and talks to me—it’s obvious that he, too, feels something special for me, but always with respect for his own marriage; the boundaries of seduction are clearly established.

Thanks to COVID-19, two meters separate us at all times—that’s what helps me stay disciplined even as his alpha-male scent fills my nostrils. Let’s be clear: if I were single—well, if we both were—I’d probably have been the lover he’s always dreamed of. Read that carefully: I didn’t use the term “the love of his life,” because the more I get to know him, the more obvious it becomes. He’s very far—really, very far—from being the partner of my dreams. Maybe it’s a generational difference in mindset—a clear, functional arrangement for him and his wife—but for me, it’s an unhealthy routine in which I’d be miserable. His wife does everything! Cooking, laundry—she keeps the house in order and manages family life with two preteens in exemplary fashion. He doesn’t help her at all around the house!  He takes care of the renovations, maintains the yard, and reminds her every day just how amazing she is (at least I hope he does that much). It’s completely absurd, in my mind as a young woman a quarter of the way through her life, that a woman would accept such a daily routine. Okay, we’re all different, and maybe she loves her life this way.

That being said, with everything she does for him, she undoubtedly deserves the privilege—and even the honor—of sharing a wonderful sex life with this man. As for me, I’m lucky to have a partner who shares my philosophy on life. On top of that, he helps me every day to ensure the well-being of our family and our home. We love each other, without a doubt. So, even if my thoughts about my coworker aren’t always entirely proper, they’ll forever remain nothing more than unfulfilled fantasies—and that’s just fine.
