I know, my dear and loyal friend, that sometimes it feels like an eternity. But believe me when I tell you that your turn will come. It will even come when you least expect it.
When I watch you with my kids, I tell myself that you’ll be a wonderful mom. Right now, you’re gathering a ton of information and a ton of experience that will likely be very useful to you when it’s your turn to bring a child into the world. My dear friend, I know that sometimes it’s hard to wait for your turn. That sometimes it’s painful to see others have what you want so badly. That you look at those moms with envy. Believe me, your turn will come, and when it does, you’ll probably be the happiest girl in the world.
I hope to be just as present then as I am now when life gives you this beautiful gift, because I’d love to be by your side through your moments of joy as well as your moments of uncertainty. You’ll be a wonderful, caring mom—a mom full of love and tenderness. Because I can already see in your eyes all the love you have to give when you take care of my two little monsters.
