Letter to My Next Pregnancy

My last pregnancy was anything but easy. It was filled with a lot of stress and worry. I would love for the fear I felt during those nine months to be gone by the time you come along: my next pregnancy.

Dear next pregnancy, I hope with all my heart that you’ll be a peaceful experience. I hope to experience you differently—to embrace you with positivity at full speed.

To you, my next pregnancy, I want to welcome you with open arms. I want to savor every moment: the round belly, the kicks, the rib pain, the nausea… I want to enjoy you to the fullest!

Who knows? You might be my very last one. I don’t really like the idea of thinking about it, but I have to be realistic. My last pregnancy, where I’ll carry my last child for nine months; my last delivery; my last time walking into a hospital only to walk out with my heart filled with even more love. I hope to experience all of this with a calm, peaceful, and fulfilled heart, savoring every little moment.

To you, my next pregnancy—let’s be united so that I, as your mom, can experience you as I should: with happiness and peace.
